Switzerland’s unconditional basic income initiative proposes $30,000-a-year payout for everyone
This is an idea to counteract the massive disparity between the wealthy and the poor. Providing a minimum amount of money for people is better than having them starve to death AND it actually benefits the overall economy. The issue is when they start cutting other services to “pay for it.”
The slant of this article can be found in the headline. “Giving away money” implies that this is a massive giveaway with a somewhat negative connotation?
