The shoe company said it was asked to tone down criticism of the TPP in exchange for a chance to bid on DOD contracts.

But then they didn’t get any orders so now they’re back to criticizing the “free trade” deal. I like the statement that the Dept. of Defense will never buy any shoes made in the U.S. as it shows just how bad TPP really is. First off, the administration has to bribe companies to not complain about the deal, then they don’t even honor their bribes because buying shoes from a country that hires slave labor saves them too much money!
