Search company removes antisemitic and sexist autocomplete phrases after Observer article highlights offensive results
On the surface this looks like a good thing, but autocomplete does give you an indictator of what people are searching for. By censoring it, Google is denying us the opportunity to know what’s going on in the world around us. Will this creat another “bubble” Luke the Facebook bubble where people will not be aware of the true world around them?
