The shooting rampage committed by Micah Johnson, 25, was described as the kind of retaliatory violence that people have feared for the last two years.

Horrendous. Not only does this answer the call of chaos with more chaos, but it also negatively impacts the Black Lives Matter movement. Plus, the targets were officers of the law- men and women who put their lives on the line for others. While the actions of some officers have been unforgivable, these officers, could be genuinely good people. Why shoot at a group of people you don’t know? Why endanger innocent bystanders?

This accomplished nothing. It created more harm and escalated fear and tension in the U.S. Peace and understanding is the key, not violence.
