In what has to be some kind of record, the Washington Post ran 16 negative stories on Bernie Sanders in 16 hours—a window that includes the crucial Democratic debate in Flint, Michigan, and the next morning’s spin.
While it’s no crime for Journalistic organizations to take a side in a presidential election, it is a deadly sin in journalism ethics. The Washington Post; however is playing by its own rules or by the highest bidder’s rules. This articles seems to reveal Washington Post and Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos’ political interests have a high dollar sign attached to them. Amazon received over 600 million in contracts by the CIA — an organization Sanders says he has a lot of problems with. Additionally Amazon was awarded 16.5 million in contracts from the State Department last time Hilary Clinton was the head of it. The Washington Post has the great American freedom to say and report on whatever they want but what shouldn’t be allowed is for clearly bias reporting to be presented to the public as a neutral take on the election.
