Susan Hasler says terrorists want to foster a global struggle between the West and Islam, and political candidates are giving credence to that false idea

Interesting article by a former CIA counterterrorist. As she states, we are playing into the hands of the terrorists by making these attacks about Islam vs. the West. If we could stop using that rhetoric, the attacks would be failing. Instead, by using that rhetoric, the attacks are succeeding, and with every success, comes more successes.
