Fareed Zakaria, host of CNN’s “GPS,” is routinely accused by some critics of having a liberal bias, but in a recent segment he cited free speech concerns on college campuses as evidence that liberals are “often” not tolerant of opposing viewpoints.
Valid points by Zakaria, Freedom of Speech means allowing opposing viewpoints to be expressed, not silencing them. Plus, the more people hear these opposing viewpoints, the more those viewpoints often start sounding ridiculous!
That is the better approach than trying to silence them. Once we do away with the first amendment, it will be almost impossible to get it back.
