American monopolies consolidated market power for years. Now that there’s supply chain trouble, they can raise prices and blame it on the pandemic.

This is exactly what’s happening. The economy is not BOOMING thus causing inflation. People don’t have so much money that they are on a shopping spree, driving up prices. It’s monopoles taking advantage of the pandemic to increase their profits even more.
