The ACLU said that it obtained records pointing to data from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter being used by US police to track protesters across the country.

The websites were not directly involved, but the police used the data provided to them by a company that tracks all the sharing, face tagging, and do on done by the protesters and their friends.
