Just under half of U.S. workers said they felt satisfied with their jobs last year—the happiest they’ve been in a decade, according to a new report from the Conference Board, a research group.

This news is bittersweet. On the surface it seems positive because it tells us that people are more satisfied with their jobs than they have been in the past decide. However, fifty percent seems like a low number. Yes, half the population likes what they do for a living, but that means that the other half is either indifferent or unsatisfied with their employment situation.
This, to some extent, explains why unconventional and anti-establishment politics has seen more support this past year. The people are not content with the way things are going in this country, and that discontent can be seen in several aspects of their lives, including their jobs.
