There has been no indication that sensitive information was compromised by Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private server. But it has fed a perception that she was trying to hide information, chipping away at data gauging her trustworthiness.

While it is highly likely that Hillary Clinton’s actions constituted gross negligence, the fact that those actions are continuously being paraded around does not truly do anything toward both her sincerely understanding her mistake and the American people learning of her true character. She should answer for her actions, but not at the expense of the American public. If this investigation started as a way to undermine her campaign, then it could be crucial to question what drives it now?
